Project M8 is a game that is like the board game Go, but with a musical twist.  The player must capture more tiles than the opponent through three actions.

Press Z to perform the grow action, which captures tiles within a radius. Press X to perform the burn action which destroys all connected tiles at the risk of destroying your own tiles. Press C to perform the cut action to remove your own tiles to prevent the fire from reaching your tiles.

The three actions can only be performed with every beat of the song, and achieving a combo will allow you to capture tiles in a wider radius. If you manage to surround a region of tiles, they are automatically captured for you.

The game supports local split screen multiplayer where Player 1 is controlled by the left side of the keyboard, Player 2 is controlled by the right side of the keyboard, and other players use Joy-Cons.
